Open Studio

Held in the artist’s apartment of residence, this open studio was an exploration of practice inhabiting domestic space. Paintings were installed both conventionally as wall hangings and appeared on coffee tables with chess boards in a space that blurred perception between gallery and living room.
A large scale installation covering the entire wall of one room, with 36 mixed media drawings was accompanied by a sound performance by Maria Jorge.
Exploring themes system thinking, pattern recognition, gesture as mapping and visual forms of expelling overstimulation.
